Together forever

The night was icy but I didn’t care,

I looked deep into his eyes,

The globes they were so fresh and clear,

My news took him by surprise,

For a baby we were now expecting,

His excitement grew ever stronger,

Love for me he was projecting,

Separate entities we were no longer,

I wasn’t expecting wedding bells

Or a ring pulled from his quiver,

Down on one knee upon the shells

My spine began to shiver,

A finer man I will never find

Our lives are now forever combined.
