at times, folks asked me for advice
i wonder why they would 
do i seem like the kind of guy
who knows what's bad or good ?
.
i'll give you all some free advice
i think you'll find it true
never give advice to one
who's twice as smart as you
.
at times, folks gave me their advice
i wonder why they would
how could they stare down at their feet
and tell me where i stood ?
.
don't give to me your free advice
i'll pay you not to do
never take advice from one
that's half as smart as you
.
we all have different rhythms
and while one may seem offbeat
it adds a different tempo
when one's thinking on their feet
.
just because one's different
doesn't nullify their view
keep an open mind to those
who might seem weird to you
