BEAUTIFUL COLLISION

how rare in these vast galaxies
for spheres to come in close to tease
the gaps out in the cosmos are so wide
.
but yet, two brilliant stars, were we
adrift in this enormity
who had the brilliant notion to collide
.
the connotation of this word
suggests a fatal act occurred
but that was not the outcome in our case
.
instead of being smashed and torn
a beautiful collision born
way out in the eternity of space
.
we had no use for safety belt
not crashing, just a friendly melt
together we continued on our way
.
what once was two became just one
a bigger and a brighter sun
that longed to capture planets in its sway
.
we'll surely nurture our new lands
and work together holding hands
to bring new life to where there had been none
.
the center of a system, wide
with gravity to keep things tied
and we'll be proud to see just what we've done
.
a miracle took place that day
a one in million chance, i'd say
so you and i'd fulfill our destiny
.
we'll be together evermore
for fate has opened up the door
a beautiful collision, you and me

Wow!  Alvin,  I loved your interpretation of a beautiful collision.  It actually speaks volumns of how we all come to be here on this earth and the special relationship between two people meant to be together.  Lovely read.  Jenny.
