BEND A LITTLE

sometimes there's controversy
when we bring our minds to meet
we cross at intersections
but can't find a one-way street
.
on horns of a dilemma
always fighting, nail and tooth
a mystery forever ?
not if you exclaim the truth !
.
we speak a common language
but we've redefined the terms
and then there's only chaos
like an opened can of worms
.
you can't mix oil and water
it will ride but never blend
you want to answer questions ?
exclamations, you must send !
.
we're jamming up connections
and there's static in the way
we're way too busy thinking
of the next thing we will say
.
you can't see eye to eye
when you have noses, out of joint
unbend that twisted question mark ?
an exclamation point !

Nice use of punctuation to relate to your theme - reminded me of Carson's 'Belfast Confetti'. The images are very strong too.

Interesting pun of exclaim
Interesting pun of exclaim/explain coupled with exclamation rather than too many questions!
''we're way too busy thinking
of the next thing we will say' – how frustrating that can be, when the 'listener' clearly isn' tlistening, and.
'you can't see eye to eye
when you have noses, out of joint' is very funny!
