BLESSED ARE THE POWERS

leaves the lives beneath disturbed

with the fervor of a demon

with an appetite, uncurbed

damaged is the flower that is trampled by the sole

blessed are the powers that can make that flower whole

the waters, in bombardment

leaves the sea beneath, bereft

but God will give his blessings 

to the remnants that are left

damaged is the shoreline that is altered by the tide

blessed are the powers that can keep it all inside

the sun, with heat, relentless

leaves the populace to melt

with senses, overloaded

the impossible is felt

.

damaged is the psyche of the ones who dare to trust

blessed are the powers who revive collected dust
