a burial in stereo
a coffin wired for sound
enriching tones of music
as i'm lowered underground
this may sound melancholy
but if i were left to choose
i think that when i'm laid to rest
i'll wear my dancing shoes
my head may not be bobbing
with my hands too stiff to clap
and clueless little muscles
may not cause my toes to tap
but there'd be celebration
in my cozy little box
and on my granite headstone
it would spell out HE STILL ROCKS
for i fall asleep to music
it's my custom, don't you see
so why not still be grooving
as i face eternity
and what would be the music
that would fill my silk lined bed ?
some blues and jazz and beatles
and of course the grateful dead
