it is not a hit or miss thing

it is science, cold and pure

with nothing left to chance

you must know your target's weakness

you must learn just when to strike

and when its time to act

it's poise and tact that's used alike

there is always risk of failure

but the odds are fairly strong

when dies are finally cast

the victims last not very long

we don't like when things get crowded

yes, we need some room to spare

for when it's time to fetch

we like to stretch out everywhere

though the struggle is exciting

still the hunt's our fondest wish

so to the lake i'll run

for it is fun to hook a fish
