does it make you nice and cozy
or so hot that you perspire ?

like a hymn sung by a choir ?

just the planet of your birth ?
the soil that holds the flowers
that can bring both joy and mirth ?
when you're put below its surface
have you had your money's worth ?

what is air ?

is it something we all share ?
an object that cannot be seen
but pulsates everywhere ?
is there enough to go around
and will you get your share ?

what is water ?
tell me
is it tears or rain or sea ?
vast molecules of moisture
that will live eternally ?
does it really want to drown you
or perhaps just set you free ?
