behold, the month of solmonath
which celebrated mud
the winter, jeweled in ice
soon leaking out it's milky blood
.
behold the month of helmkuu
snowy globules in the trees
resemble pearly teardrops
as they suddenly refreeze
.
behold the month of sechko
join the cutting of the wood
parade of little slashers
who invade the neighborhood
.
behold the month of februum
now it's time to purify
although it is foreshortened
it cares not the reason why

It was interesting to look up those old/other language names for the month and the derivation. Certainly empathise with the mud and the melting/refreezing tree moisture! Rhiannon
