the wolf moon will come howling
on a night of icy light
the snow moon haunts the hunting
brilliant walls so tall in height
.
the worm moon will come crawling
as the world begins to melt
the pink moon calls the blossoms
that beneath the cold earth, knelt
.
the moon of many flowers
is the loveliest of all
strawberry flavored, is the moon
when summer comes to call
.
the full buck moon loves thunderstorms
while antlers start to rise
the sturgeon moon invites the fish
to open up their eyes
.
the moon of corn brings harvesting
the winter's coming fast
the hunter's moon seeks out the game
to make sure food will last
.
the beaver moon means chilly streams
will quickly still their flow
the full cold moon then takes a grip
hold on to all you know
