eye to eye with him i locked
the inky polished diamonds
of a wild majestic hawk
his vast far reaching knowledge
that mere man can't hope to see
reflected in his ageless orbs
and opened up to me
a vision of my future
and a portal to my dreams
these globes of perfect clarity
reached out to me in streams
the truth is stunning brilliance
turned the blackness to pure light
the path became apparent
like a blind man finding sight
and all of the miasma

his muscled wings disturbed the air
and soaring off, he went

Ah! Such a beautiful moment
Ah! Such a beautiful moment - 'ageless orbs'-'inky polished diamonds' I once gazed into the eyes of a Kestrel and was mesmerized until it suddenly took flight again. This poem brought back the wonderful memory. Thanks

Hi alvin,
I loved your description of the Hawk's eyes,
they are such majestic birds and their stare
can be hypnotising.
Wonderful read.
Very much enjoyed.
Jenny.
