he was their mighty shepherd
and he comforted his herd

my childhood would have not been blessed
if it were not for thee

gentle words for everyone
a heaping of forgiveness
when a wicked deed was done
.
you were always sweet
when i was rotten to the core

Jesus loved the children
yes, the bible tells me so
pulling them when down they fell
and pushing them to grow
.
i hope you know i love you
that's for all eternity
