GLAD TO BE YOUR GLUE

it's easy to just fall apart
from webs of spreading cracks
there is a sense of urgency
yet no time to relax
.
sometimes one's self is not enough
you need the aid of two
a thing that's cracked can't help itself
it needs a bit of glue
.
preserve the infrastructure
and provide a little lift
i'm glad to be your glue
when there are tears that you have sniffed
.
the world can be a maddening thing
the cosmos running wild
expanding complications
that confuse your inner child
.
you surely need some medicine
the kind that's up to date
i'm glad to be your glue
when you have need to escalate
.
a person needs security
a place where one is safe
avoiding an environment
where the fabric rubs and chafes
.
a crack can be repaired
if it's a method, true, you pick
i'm glad to be your glue
and close to you i'll always stick
