HOLLOW DRUM

the words will hardly matter
if they only make a clatter
never coming rather quickly to a point
if it's thrust like rocks, volcanic
then all reason turns to panic
and the oils will rush away and not annoint
when you hear a lengthy sermon
then its value turns to vermin
with a vast array of irritating squeaks
wisdom knots itself till loopy
fine cuisine becomes quite soupy
when the boring drone knows not of what he speaks
we are given apparatus
but it quickly fades in status
when the integers involved don't make a sum
when there's clamor with no poise laid
you will find the biggest noise made
when more hollow is the chamber of the drum

Hmmm, I try to think
Hmmm, I try to think more/speak less and stop if I drone...which I must sometimes do.
