life is full of pathways, strange

where light is rather dim

your joy gets quickly snatched from you

depending on fate's whim

then eyes behold a beacon, bright

that cuts right through the haze

rejuvenating heart and soul

with soft and healing rays

i found you in the mystery

a foghorn had been blown

you found me in the mystery

adrift out on your own

life is full of colors, bright

but night time makes them fade

we're in a sea of ugly hues

in which we have to wade

but then a garden will evolve

at first one little sprout

which blossoms like a rainbow's arc

when rain has cleansed our doubt

i found you in the mystery

you've made my future bright

you found me in the mystery

i led you from the night
