i have you in my life at last
a vision stolen from the past
i had you on my mind from time to time
.
but we were always kept apart
and never knew each other's heart
but now our hearts are ringing out in rhyme
.
i have you nestled in my arms
to keep you safe from any harm
i never knew how scared you were inside
.
for we had no time to converse
our close encounters, rare and terse
but now our hearts are ringing out with pride
.
i have you for eternity
we share each other's destiny
and that's a thing that no one can destroy
.
we lost some time, but we'll catch up
and fill each other's loving cup
for now our hearts are ringing out in joy
