the sun provides the gift of life

the warmth that we all crave

without the sun to light the way

i never would be brave

the stars will take the reins at night

when sun has gone to rest

without the guidance of the stars

i never would be blessed

the waves caress the sandy shores

then slide back to the sea

without the knowledge they'd return

i never would be free

just like the burning of the sun

you light the fires of passion

just like the guidance of the stars

you guide in loving fashion

just like the waves upon the sand

your heart flows out with love

you are the ocean of my world
