the winter brings on changes
which, at times, resembles death
it's just a short hiatus
till the springtime draws new breath
.
a tree may lose its foliage
but never will it grieve
jump into your life
like children jump in piles of leaves
.
the jewels of emerald summers
turn a fiery brand of red
that fall to earth like embers
so that new life can be bred
.
a tree will change its colors
but it's not meant to deceive
jump into your life
like children jump in piles of leaves
.
we're members of a forest
in the midst of all our friends
though storms may lash our branches
we'll survive if we can bend
.
the tree will thrive and flourish
if the heart of it believes
jump into your life
like children jump in piles of leaves
