RAINBOWS AT MIDNIGHT

we all wander, lost in darkness
with our fingers grasping blind
when all we need to do
is let the light shine from our minds
.
there's rainbows arched at midnight
though our eyes cannot perceive
the dark is striped with bands of light
if only we believe
.
we struggle through our nightmares
and we crave the dawning's shine
but often in the dead of night
is where we'll find the signs
.
there's flowers blessed by moonbeams
though we often miss the scent
the paths where we've been stumbling
are in fact, no accident
.
we try to grasp the melody
that makes our lives a song
but if we are discordant
then the symphony's all wrong
.
there's music in the heavens
though the tune we may not hear
when we've dissolved cacophony
the message wlll be clear
