SOMETIMES I WISH

memories cling like the dew in the flowers

no matter if joyous or sad

and as i look back at our deepest dark hours

a difficult path we have had

the sad times we had i desire to escape from

to just close my eyes till i'm blind

i throw out the good and the bad in a lump sum

till there's nothing left i can find

in war there are battles where you are defeated

in others where victory's won

and sometimes i wish we could start it all over

sometimes that we'd never begun

you learn from your struggles to help you grow stronger

a lesson in every mistake

i think i'd go mad if i stayed any longer

but leaving you makes my heart break

i thought i was travelling upward to glory

instead i descended towards hell

the moral attached to the end of the story

reminds me just how hard i fell

sometimes it is good to just sit in the darkness

to block out the glare of the sun

and sometimes i wish we could start it all over

sometimes that we'd never begun

Sometimes it is good to just sit in the darkness.

But not for too long, we hope, moonphish. Good reflective piece.
