SOUND OF THE SUN

i met a boy who knew no sound
exempt for all his life
and one day he explained to me
a thing that caused him strife
.
he gazed upon the burning sun
so luminous and round
and tried to match its glory
to a corresponding sound
.
he thought that it might sizzle
or emit a mighty roar
a series of explosions
till it seemed to be at war
.
a crackling , electric
or pulsations , full of dread
perhaps a different timbre
be it yellow, orange or red
.
he asked me if i'd heard it
and i knew not what to say
would i shatter his illusions ?
would i keep his fears at bay
.
i told him it was silent
for quite humble, is our sun
it just exists to give us life
embracing everyone
.
like a smile from one who loves you
or perhaps a subtle wink
there is majesty in silence
or at least that's what i think

Well you know what they say Alvin. 'Silence is Golden,' As the song goes.
Yet another of your poems that is rich in great rhythm and rhyme.
Thanks for sharing.
Jenny.
