even if an only child
a tapestry of chromosomes
unchecked and running wild

a villain who intimidates
a monster, dressed to kill
a demon who assassinates
a thief that robs your will
.
but...
we walk in shoes of angels
who've traversed the risky path
they've peeled apart the puzzle
and reviewed the aftermath
.
a comrade who will elevate
a partner who will bend
a sidekick who won't legislate
a cohort who's a friend
.
every person has a sibling
of the kind that creep inside
that led a life with habits, bad
but in good time, they died
.
a hooligan who aggravates
a cheater who deploys
a devil who eradicates
an outlaw who destroys
.
but...
we walk in shoes of angels
silver arrows mark the trail
our souls provide the gravity
so feet will never fail
.
a consort who will educate
a colleague who will care
a crony who will illustrate
companions who play fair
.
