WYOMING

why why why, wyoming ?
it is such a squarish state
they have a horse and rider
stamped upon their license plate

the horse some say is red wing
maybe deadman, others claim
but most will tell you that the horse
has steamboat for a name

it's also on their quarter
so i guess it is the law
and who's the reckless rider ?
people tend to say, grandpa

the capital is cheyenne
lowest corner on the right
and it's the biggest city
though the population's light

there is a land o' goshen
it's the county right above
the seal depicts a buffalo
a fact i really love

the upper left hand corner
is entirely yellowstone
a park that's filled with grandeur
it's the best i've ever known

so why why why, wyoming ?
why why not, i'd have to say
i'd love to go revisit
but i doubt i'd ever stay
