would always spend the day
by making music side by side
to while away the day

he figured out the music
while his wife waxed lyrically
he played cello
she sang mellow
in sweet harmony
.
a young musician and his wife
began to move away
they found some new activities
to occupy their day
.
he played a lot of solos
for his wife was seldom free
he played tuba
she would scuba
both below the C
.
a young musician and his wife
were finally done at last
they barely could remember
all the good times of the past
.
he never saw his wife at all
as lonely as could be
he played trumpet
she played strumpet
no more he and she
.
