your laughter sometimes ripples

like the backspin of a river

as it tumbles down the valley to the sea

a song that only beauty

found in nature should deliver

but in some secret way, you found the key

your laughter is the waters

that will quench the thirst within me

you saturate my soul with loving bliss

i dive without a toe dip

and i hope that it will win me

a velvety caress and loving kiss

your laughter may start roaring

with the power of the ocean

when it needs to chase the things that bring me fright

our currents run together

and i'm swept up in the motion

we stay on course despite the darkest night
