A Story In His Eyes

It's dark out here,
I step inside,
Shut the door,
Creeks are left behind.
I hear a noise,
what can that be,
scouting around,
but I think it was me.
It is pitch black,
all the lights are out,
I hear a noise,
someone is wondering about.
I approach the stairs,
wooden and old,
one step on them,
the result will be bold.
I see a shadow,
a glimmered light above,
I creep up slowly,
grasp the rail with my glove.
I arrive at the top,
look left and right,
someones in the doorway,
holding a object with all their might.
We attack one another,
with caution on my mind,
we are just two shadows,
Both of us are blind.
Holding my breathe,
gripping tight,
dodging the object,
as it flies through the night.
I lower him down,
the struggle is at an end,
I remove my hands,
his wounds cannot be amend.
I'm paniced and shocked,
this has not happend before,
the is a man laying dead,
beneath me on the floor.
I bust into the room with light,
the woman is not fooled,
the phone is off the hook,
999 has been called.
I pull out of my pocket,
the metal handle I hold,
it all goes so fast,
the body is now cold.
I run from the scene,
what has happened tonight,
a robbery should have taken place,
not a murder or a fight.
I hide in the bush,
Sirens flying past,
flashing lights all around,
this story will be my last.
