Beached

A bridge of fire spans sea to rising moon
Musicians stand in silent awe
Rock reverberates once more
Blood drains from fat orb
Yellow road splits silver sea
Fans move in - tide goes out
Sands covered in discarded cans
Beauty meets beast on beach.

Beached was a 3 day free concert on Scarborough beach. It really started in the evenings and went on until after mid-night.
One night the full moon rose over the sea - blood red. It formed a bridge of fire and the group on stage stopped to admire the pure beauty of the scene saying they had been all around the world but never seen anything so stunning.
The band started playing again and as the moon rose the fire drained into the sea until the moon was yellow and the sea was golden and faded to silver. Magical!
The only thing that spoiled it all was the heavy drinking and the careless use of the sands as a giant litter bin.
