Sometimes it’s hard
To say what we think
Caught up in trivia
Life passes in a blink
Of being an ingrate
I was once accused
But let it be known
This left me bemused
So much I recall
In so little time
A trip to the dolphins
Then the Hard Rock chime
From Bob O’Fette
To Bugsy Malone
Never needed a brother
We were fine on our own
And who could forget
Our Bullet and KIT
And black leather trousers
I’ll say it – they’re shit
Always cheering on the touchline
Playing Question of Sport
You must now admit it
Your challenge always fell short
From Tottenham Tandoori
And games at the Lane
It wasn’t your fault
That we’d travel in vain
Great times in Lacanau
With Super Glue Serge
So of this reputation
I hope I’m now purged
Despite troubled times
And Woodcote pain
You stand before me:
Hero… again.
