the wall would win;
for walls have ears
and walls are thin.

the window would win;
for windows allow the world
to look in.

between you and the ceiling
the ceiling would win;
the ceiling's just plastered -
you're plastered with gin.

between you and the floor
the floor would win;
the floor is bare
and I can't bear your skin.
