February has come and London
Lays hushed in its icy grip,
Freezing fingers clutch
My neck, my face, my throat.
Hurrying home my breath
Clings around me like a sea mist,
My thighs burn blue with cold,
Blood turns icy in my vein.
Gladly I step inside our home,
I shut the door, but it seems Winter
Has penetrated these fortress walls,
A chill hangs heavy in the air.
Night falls, I climb into the bed
And snuggle into the duvet.
Warm arms wrap around my heart
His belly snuggles my behind.
At last my body thaws
And I melt into the embrace
Of my hairy Valentine.
