Seaside Moment

Sparkles of sunlight floated down the rivers of my mind while blue
ribbons of scuffling, shuffling sky danced around a rainbow to the
elliptical eclipse of the horizon.
The horizons curve bubbled with gigantine waves and seethed with
minuscule ships and boats, up close steel carcasses, metal-made
hulks.
The brainstorm came as the flotilla of birds waving and diving and
thriving their way through the clear air creamed the sky, claiming it
with their signature, the patterns of their mass-movement infecting my
eyes with an unabsorbable infinity and random colour.
Pebbles lay like mountain tops, the peaks of deep stone fingers
reaching from the depths, only just touching the surface where I sat
lonely, gazing out at nothing-in-particular.
The suns roasting heat-waves brought an obscurity to far off visions,
their outlines fluid, moving with an oiliness that brought the whole
rainbow spectrum to a single object at once.
I blinked as wave power and moons breath scooped up the sea and flung
it towards me, battering the sand with the fierce intensity of an angry
fists descent, seeming to me like the ringing of a gong.
The moment past and I went home.
