Dear The Queen

Dear The Queen,
I am writing to you in a vain hope that one day I may have the pleasure
of meeting you. However, I do not think that this dream will ever come
true. This is because I am not of a high standing in the community, I
am not the chairman of a charity organisation, a celebrity, religious
leader, pop star or even of high position in my career. I am just an
honest, humble subject of the British Empire but I am always proud to
represent my country at the slightest opportunity.
My one glimmer of hope of meeting you was when I entered a Blue Peter
colouring in competition, but alas being afflicted with colour
blindness I stood little if any chance of winning. No badge - no palace
visit.
However, recently I have read that we do share a common interest. I
have a vast collection of Matchbox toy cars and I am pleased to hear of
your passion for Corgies.
I am sure afternoon tea would be most enjoyable, good company, good
conversation, and we could even do a few swapsies.
Hope to hear from you soon.
Yours truly,
Ofar Quarson.
