My Brother Dominic!

This poem is for Dominic who’s much more than kin,
He’s more like a brother, a mentor and friend.
He fights like a warrior at work and at play,
A Knight or a Samurai, no less can I say.
He’s a man of great trust and often quite frank,
What ever he tells you, you can take to the bank.
He’s the best kind of father that all children need, Possessing no avarice, no rancor or greed.
Some think he’s tough when he yells in a rage,
But this is just cover for a softhearted sage.
He loves this great country with fervor and zeal,
He’s the best kind of patriot, for his honor is real.
He stands by his friends in both good times and bad, A more loyal person could never be had.
A man of great talent, an artist and more,
And generous by nature, but hard to the core.
He’s a man of deep faith, but not one to pray,
But he thinks of our savior at least ten times a day.
Meekness and mildness is not his forte,
He tackles all problems that may come his way.
He may not be my brother, by birth and by name,
But no other brother, will I ever claim.
You the man…!
