Spirit of Samhain

Beneath this wet and muddy earth, I lie awake and ponder, that time of year has come again, to let my spirit wander.
I seek the treats that lie in wait, for those who wish me well, and for those who leave me out, I shall drag them down to hell.
Walk softly on this sacred night, and turn your head in fear, the spirits from the earth below , are seeking food and cheer.
Make haste now to prepare my meal, with wine and meat and bread, It has been a year of hunger pains, among the living dead.
You have one night to make a feast, for those who sleep below, but if you don’t and run away, your kids I’ll take in tow.
Should you look upon my face, when I let my spirit fly, then you will join me in my grave, for you shall surely die.
