Ululating

He stood facing his boss,
Knowing that one day
One of them would be at the other's funeral.
Whatever seemed important now
Was just cogs in the machine.
Snapping out of his reverie,
He reached out and gripped the table;
Began ululating a high pitched mourn,
Keenly aware of the approaching sorrow.
Thanks Jimmy, said the other.
They began to ululate together.
And the high sounds left those walls
And echoed down the street,
Reaching into houses both near and far.
