Alive and kicking

Im alive,
I used to hate it,
Now im alive,
And living.

I wish I could scream at my old self,
Tell her life is worth living,
Think of how many people would miss her,
That now im alive and kicking.

I think back to when my first doctor asked me,
What do you want to be when your older?
"Dead" she said,
Now what do I say?
"What does your badge say?"
