Where's Home?

It's a puzzling expression and through all the depression,
It's hard to define life and all of life's lessons,
And after the diamond knife and a series of questions,
Choices were made right but i still have a confession.
What is this concept we so casually call home,
Only to understand it when we're tragically alone?
Nothing to do with some walls, a roof and a loan;
But where we've loved, lost, learnt and grown.
And it's an ongoing process, not to mention the pain,
But the sun's always there, even through the hurricane
Of the past year of change, which is making me insane.
Now introducing my name to try and feel the same.
To regain that sanity and a sense of normality,
In a fast paced race of life trying to challenge me
And its doing a good job you see tearing up rationality,
As i go and risk it... love or tragedy...
And that's the cold reality, maybe I'm trying too hard,
All in reaching distance but I'm reaching too far.
Trying to feel whole again and to heal that scar
That was left so deeply as my heart was torn apart,
But to invent a false sense of strength and security,
Flawed from the start with emotional impurities.
To try and fill that space with a relationship's liberty,
Only to lose before the start of a race that's to cruel to me.
So maybe all in life will come falling on my plate?
But I've learnt from the mistakes that I've made so great
And that's not to wait around because life really doesn't wait;
You get out into the world and make your own fate.
So I've concluded a purpose after thinking for a time,
Trying to sort this out in my over-analysing mind,
I'll still remember the place and the people i left behind
Because wherever your love is, is where your home will reside...
