Why do we look for more
When we have all the comfort we need?
Because there is no God
Only endless fear and greed.
Why do all our dreams
Evaporate into thin air?
Because you search all your life
For something that isn't there.
Why, despite all our wealth,
Do we never feel content?
Because a life is so much more
Than how much money you've spent.
...
Too much to do. Head gonna pop. Everyone wants a piece of me. Must look bad - supermarket staff assume I can't find anything on my shopping list and am unable to pack my own shopping.
"Do you need help packing?"
"No. Do you need help with those spots?"
...
and now I am licking my wounds over a JD, having Done It (to) Myself. Four laminate floor door strips fitted as commanded. Black grease on second favourite hoodie. Paper piled all over the floor from tidying (collateral damage). Guitar back in the case to conceal evidence of having played it. Kitchen next.
You can't fry sausages without breaking eggs. It looks like von Richthofen's flying goggles. Covered in oil. The smell of sausages permeates the flat. At least the floor's done. Just some moorings paperwork to do - oh, and Spanish homework and my restful Sunday will be at an end. Must go.
