Another year crashes in.
We chase our prime,
power through our zenith
or leave it far behind.
Reaching for our dreams,
immersed in realisation,
or clinging to their memory.
Lost in our best years,
or trying to recapture them,
running out of time.
Another year crashes in.

There's something about a egg
I often think of egg timers now at New Year. It didn't always feel like that. Approaching the olden days though. This poem encapsulates that panicky edge, Parson, that times a force you can't be reckoning with. Enjoyed it with a frown.
