Time.

What is time?

1970;

early hours 1 Jan 1984

- shattered, flattened wreck of Reliant 3-wheeler

twixt York and Malton;

parquet floor in Barrio de Salamanca.

It still holds true,

despite the hordes

pressing upon the citadel,

tearing the art from the walls,

burning the books

and eviscerating the humanising saints

of civilisation's high watermark.

You have to keep on keepin on.

Believe.

The next tide will be higher still.

Things usually improve when you switch to Crosby, Stills, Nash and Young.  Let's hope we haven't totally retreated from civilisation, and that the planet will still be willing to host us when we get our senses back.
