Anyone mind if I propose a new rule?
It's ok to patronise when the evidence warrants it.
The persistent thought that the nation has been brought to a position of chaos and uncertainty by a majority of Sun and Mail readers is burning a hole in me.
It's a position similar to that of the heart patient who, realising it's difficult to see the surgeon and he may have to make appointments, attend clinics, queue, undergo examinations, decides to entrust the triple-bypass procedure to a cleaner he chats to whilst smoking outside the hospital door.
The cleaner impresses him by jangling the keys to the operating theatre. "Easy" he says. "Nothing to it."

This could be a good analogy for what has happened! Let us all hope that the 'cleaners' do know what they are doing, but I am not sure they do! Good piece!
