The crowd

To be in the same place for too long, to be doing the same thing, spending time with the same people is not for the best.
To understand a situation in too much detail is to know too much. To know too much is to see the flaws and lose the joy.
There is nothing for it but to move on, to drift and never become attached. Once painted into the scenery, you have been too long on the scene.
I know one other person with whom I can stay and, even then, it's good to know when to break. We have discovered we can do this because time has washed us along together and still here we are. Together we know when it's time to leave.
Everyone knows when it's time to move on. When all that's left is compromise and erosion.
