Deep this, I'm guessing you are describing a picture that exists only in your mind's eye

I like the idea of the artist, choosing pastel shades, love silent whiteness. This leaves you wondering. :)

I think I maybe get it. Sometimes I can be a bit slow. Or maybe I get it even less than I did before. I

 thinking, in absentia is the silence of whiteness.

Ahhhh. Now it is clear. I didn't make this connection. I was looking at pastels in Norman Rockwell paintings when  I first read it, completely off track, but maybe that was the idea. :)
