Girl on a horse

I’ve never seen her so happy
So naturally fitting the scene
Each photograph a testament
To a woman and her dream
Observe the girl on horse-back
Warmed by a distant sun
Caressed by gentle waters
Subject and setting are one
I remember when I told her
Of the bird upon the bough
That chose to land beside me
I hear that story-telling now
Better to live for a moment
With a bird that’s free to fly
Than to hold it in a gilded cage
Denied the freedom of the the sky

Is this another song, PT? If not, it should be. The rhythm and rhymes are so crisp and each verse is like a poem in itself.
Enjoyed.

...and so do I. A beautiful poem PT, and extremely lyrical.
Speaking of girls on horses, I tried horse-riding, once or twice. Got thrown on both occasions. The first time, was my first time, and so it turned out, the girls at the riding stables had deliberately given me a 'bucking bronco' as a joke. Some joke. No bones broken, thankfully. But the second time was at a different stables, obviously, and they hadn't secured the horse's bit properly. No bones broken, again, but I knew when to call enough, enough.
Much enjoyed your poem.
