Money is all that matters

Money is all that matters.
Get that.
Money is all that matters.
A ninety-year-old WWII veteran is evicted from his house in New York because of debts incurred while looking after his wife.
Don’t try to roll me over with “veteran” bullshit.
It’s no different to all the other bullshit being pedalled to hide the fact we’re all just there for milking.
The big, ugly triangle. The pyramid.
Wealth sits at the top, spawning its dynasties and milking the rest of us because it has all the means.
It makes me sick.
Parades. Flag-days. Medal ceremonies.
They just want you to stand in front of the guns when their asset is slipping out of their grasp.
Can’t you see after all this time? They don’t care about veterans, returning heroes, amputees, widows, orphans.
It’s just a sham to ensure that next time their wealth is threatened they can wave the flag and all of your sons will come running.
You are the guards to their bank. The peasant with the ill-fitting suit and worn-out rifle standing between their gold and those who would steal it.
When will you ever learn?
Penniless monarchists. Poor conservatives. Wake up from the stupor of tradition. Recognise who is stealing everything you could ever have.
Why do you willingly give yourselves?
Watching you is driving me crazy.
Do it just for me, even if you don’t care for your own lives.

It's pretty sickening, I don't know what we can do, write poems about it and bit by bit the tide may turn, that's all I can think of. Great poem.
