Peter speaks
In each room
The clock gives a different time
I’m wrapped in signal red
And a hoodie
- Chilled to the bone
Acid burns my gut
There’s something polite
In the zipping of bags
The soft wooden report
Of books and pens
Worlds apart
Compassion, or guilt?
- Which will propel me “home”?
