Six blokes sitting under terrace lights
One wears a red shirt and white bush hat
Beers on the table
Traffic moves behind them in the hot dark night
No more chanting
The trophy’s on the shelf
Another a murmur in the madrileño hum
They’ll be flying in the morning
Safe home, lads

Good old days. A six pack of blokes. A brotherhood. What a waste of money. Waste of time. Pleasantly entoxicated. Drunk stupid. Comfortably numb, to quote Pink Floyd.
Well, no headache for me in the morning and no throwing up.
Cheers & Nolan
