Driving off
in her office clothes.

Do you think she knows
how much it shows
that her clothes
like the office
are false.

Just a pretence
A shell
that she builds
around herself
Like the house
the car
and the place in Spain
All a cushion
to deal with the pain.

There she goes
Immaculate, almost,
Shielded by
her office clothes.

How very true this would seem to be, PT...'power dressing' or something of that ilk. Many of us hide behind 'props', I guess, be it clothes, or whatever. Nice writing, as ever;-) Tina
