Weston Bay (alternative)

Our bay was as beautiful
as I have ever seen it tonight.
The air was still and balmy.
The sea a mirror
reflecting embers
of summer sky
as they fell upon Steepholm.
Along the promenade
elderly couples basked
in the evening glow
as small parties animated
the sidewalk bars.
On a night like this
one might be anywhere in the world.
