The fingers know where to go
It's the heart and the mind
that lose their way
Blown about
by every small disturbance of the air

I shorten my step for this one

A small poem that manages to suggest a lot. The feeling of being lost and confused, but there's something else there as well. There is a nice Haiku feel to it.

This is 'wonderful' and uplifting, PT., though a little sad. I like the brevity - it adds to the importance of the sentiment. And everything looks better when the sun shines. People even say hello!

Hi Bee. Glad it's uplifting. It's just a thing. It lives briefly in the minds of those who read it. It lived in mine for a moment, now it's gone. Like a whittling, made then given away. I'm trying to work out how I feel about reading my poems to people. I find it difficult and I think it's because they are passing thoughts, not something to go back over. I don’t know. There's something. A passage in Kerouac' Desolation Angels seems in tune with the idea. Glad you liked the poem.
